Fisher, Kathleen Mary (30 April 1946 - 26 April 2008)

KATHLEEN MARY FISHER

Kathleen Mary Fisher, Inver Grove Heights, MN, born April 30, 1946, died on April 26, 2008 in Woodbury, MN. Kathleen was born in Chippewa Falls, WI to Elisabeth and Clarence Fisher of Thorp, WI. After graduating from Thorp High School, Kathleen began her career with Northwest Airlines where she worked as a flight attendant, just recently retiring in August, 2007.

Kathleen married Gene Hatfield and had two children, Tom and Karen. Kathleen’s motto was, "work hard play harder!" Always the adventurous one, Kathleen was never scared to try a new thrill ride or attempt a black diamond on the ski hill. She taught those around her how to be hard working, strong, positive and caring all in one. Kathleen was very excited about becoming "Nana Kathleen." Her first grandchild came on April 6, 2008 and her second is soon on her way, May 13, 2008.

Kathleen is survived by her mother, Elisabeth Hutter; sisters: Carol Bower, Nancy Haselow, Mary Beth Menden, Susie DeBauche, and Laurie Jo Tilly; stepsister, Carla Stafford; brother, Bill Fisher; her two children: Tom Hatfield and Karen McCalla; and her granddaughter, Lauren Kathleen McCalla.

A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI on Thursday, May 1, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie. In lieu of flowers, a memorial and scholarship fund will be established in Kathleen’s honor.
