Bornhofen, Anthony #2 (15 OCT 1868 - 18 JUL 1901)

Anthony Bornhofen died Thursday night, July 18, 1901, at 10 o’clock, death resulting from dropsy of the liver. The funeral was held at the Catholic Church on Saturday at 9 a.m., Rev. Youngblud performing the ceremony.

Deceased was 33 years old the 15th of last October. He leaves a wife to whom he was married Feb. 3, 1891, whose maiden name was Susan Marx, and one son Johnnie, aged 9 years. His three brothers, John of Chicago, Nicholas of Milwaukee, and Frank of Tony, and a sister, Mrs. Danbrowe of West Bend, attended the funeral, at which there was a large attendance of friends and relatives. Tony was a member of St. Joseph’s Society and of the Catholic Knights, an insurance organization, and leaves $1,000 insurance. He was a man of happy disposition and pleasant ways, and had a host of friends.
