Kayser, Shirley (Marriage - 21 Nov. 1945)

Miss Shirley Kayser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van L. Kayser, Granton, became the bride of Garfield Freeberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hilmar Freeberg, Granton, on Wednesday, November 21, at 4 p.m., at the Methodist church in Granton. The Rev. Floyd A. Fahlgren of Neillsville officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride wore a tan suit with a corsage of gardenia and narcissuses. The bridesmaids were Shirley Lauterbach and Fay Quicker of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

After the wedding a chicken dinner was served at the Granton community hall.

Their wedding trip took them to Northern Wisconsin, where they went on a short hunting excursion.

Mrs. Freeberg is a graduate of the Granton high school, class of 1944. Prior to her marriage she was employed in a Neillsville garage.

The groom, who is also a graduate of Granton high school, operates a farm near Granton. He is an ex-marine, having been discharged in 1944.

They will be at their farm near Granton after December 1.

Guests from out-of-town who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. George Freeberg and family, Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. William Hilson and family, Colfax; Miss Levina Arnevik, Colfax.
