Dahnert, Betty Jane (Marriage - 4 Dec. 1945)

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dahnert of Neillsville announce the marriage of their daughter, Wave Betty Jane Dahnert, H. A. 2/c, to Arthur Goudin, who was recently discharged from the service with the rank of motor machinist’s mate.

The couple are making their home for the present in San Diego, Cal., but they plan to reside in Ajo, Ariz., after making a brief visit in Neillsville.

The ceremony took place Tuesday, December 4, at the Evangelical Lutheran church in San Diego. Attendants were Elmer Eberhardt, CMM, and Clara Griffin, another Wave. The young people were attired in their naval uniforms.

Mrs. Goudin was graduated from Neillsville high school with the class of 1942 and later from Miss Brown’s Business college in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She enlisted in the Waves April 20, 1945, and expects to receive her discharge soon.

Prior to enlisting in the Waves Mrs. Goudin did office work at the Weidenhoff, Inc. plant in Neillsville.

Her husband served 3 ½ years in the navy before receiving his discharge.
