Sedgwick, Charles W. (2 DEC 1820 - 31 OCT 1901)

Chas. W. Sedgwick died Oct. 31, 1901 of paralysis, aged 80 years, 10 months, 29 days. Born the 2nd of Dec. 1820, in New York State. Deceased died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank McPherson, his only relative. His wife and four children are dead. Buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery., Rev. Ingham officiating. He came to Clark County, Wis. 36 years ago.

This is not the first reference that I have seen to the Pleasent Ridge Cemetery.  Can anyone say where this cemetery was located? The Pleaseant Ridge Church (town of Grant) was said to have never had a cemetery? Carol (Purkis) Mitte

Carol, It is my understanding that the Town of Grant Cemetery is what used to be the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. It is the only one in the Pleasant Ridge area, so I assume that is true. However, I don't see Mr. Sedgwick as being buried there, but he may have not had a stone since his wife and children were dead.  Stan
