Pratt, Tully (18 AUG 1825 - 31 DEC 1901)

Mr. Pratt was not very well when he left Chicago, and after he arrived here (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.), he became dangerously ill and had to be put to bed and a doctor sent for. Mr. Pratt wanted to die. He was suffering from pneumonia and overwhelmed with grief (his wife had just died), and finally had his way, for he breathed his last Tuesday at 5 p.m., in his 75th year, surrounded by relatives. The funeral is to be held at 10 a.m. today, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.

And thus these two amiable old people have laid aside worldly cares and burdens within eight days of each other, the wife dying Tuesday, the 24th, and the husband Tuesday the 31st, of December.

Both were highly respected here, where most of their lives had been spent. Like his wife, Mr. Pratt was a New Yorker.
