Catlin, Martha (15 Oct. 1870 - 1 July 1945)

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Catlin were held Tuesday afternoon, July 3, at the Methodist church in Loyal, conducted by the Rev. M. C. Taylor. Burial took place at Loyal. Mrs. Catlin died at the Owen hospital Sunday.

Martha Welsh was born near Loyal in 1870, and had lived in the Loyal community all of her life. She was married in 1890 to William Catlin, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Methodist church, and of Royal Neighbors of America.

Surviving are five children: Mrs. Elva Lewis, Claude and Haskell Catlin, Loyal; Lynn Catlin, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Mary Imislund, Eau Claire. A son, Perle Catlin, was killed in an auto accident last winter. There are 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Grant and George Welsh, reside at Loyal, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Vetter lives in Perkinstown.

Otto Catlin of Neillsville attended the funeral service.
