Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Fleck Whittington, 77, were held Wednesday afternoon, December 12, from the Jaster funeral home. The Rev. George W. Longenecker officiated. Burial was made in the cemetery at Waupaca.

She died Monday, December 10, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Medicke, in the town of Weston.

Mrs. Whittington was born in Waupaca January 24, 1868, to Christian and Betsy Fleck. She was married in Chicago in 1899 to William Whittington. For the past 16 years she resided in Clark county near Christie. She was a life-long member of the Norwegian Lutheran church at Scandinavia.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Medicke of Christie; Mrs. Fred (Pearl) Law, Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. Irving (Emily) Shallek, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Neil Lahaie, Wisconsin Rapids; three grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Her husband, a son, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
