Hubing, Lorraine (25 DEC 1941)

Miss Lorraine Hubing of 712 East Knapp street, Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hubing, 165 East Second street, Neillsville, was united in marriage to George Mellon, 1414 South 90th street, West Allis, Wis., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mellon, also of that city. The Rev. G. W. Longenecker performed the double ring ceremony at Sunset Point at 4 p.m. on Christmas day, December 25, 1941.

Red and Green decorations, to conform with the holiday season, were used to beautify the Hubing home, where 40 of the immediate relatives assembled for a reception. Other relatives came in the evening to give the newlyweds a shower.

The bride wore a red plaid taffeta skirt with a black chiffon blouse. Her maid of honor, Mrs. Marvin Westphal, a sister, wore a gown of black brocaded chiffon velvet. Both wore corsages of red roses. Mr. Westphal acted as best man.

The bride was a graduate from the Neillsville high school in 1940. She has been employed as a saleslady in Milwaukee for some time. Her husband was graduated from West Allis high school and also attended a business institute in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a state secretary of the order of DeMolay. The couple will make their home at 1345 North Astor, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Miss Hubing has lived in the town of York and was graduated from the eighth grade about five years ago, when she, with her parents moved to Neillsville. Our best wishes go to this young couple.
