The Lutheran church of Loyal was the setting for a double wedding of Miss Helen Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Brown of Wisconsin Rapids, and Robert Sischo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sischo, and Miss Irene Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Brown, and Roland Jacobi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jacobi, which took place at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. The Rev. J. C. Langholz performed the ceremony.
The brides chose white silk for their wedding gowns, made with tight bodices, short sleeves and full skirts. They wore coronet caps, from which hung their finger tip veils. They carried pink and white carnations.
The grooms wore dark suits.
The attendants for Mr. and Mrs. Sischo were Virginia Brown and Clayton Boone. Miss Brown wore a gown of pink silk and carried pink carnations.
The attendants for Mr. and Mrs. Jacobi were Stella Brown and Arnold Jacobi. Miss Brown chose a blue gown and carried pink Carnations.
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sischo was decorated with pink, white and blue streamers, where dinner was served to about 35 guests.
About 35 guests attended the wedding supper served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jacobi, decorated for the occasion with pink and white streamers. They had a large wedding cake as their center-piece for the bridal table.
The guests from away were Mr. and Mrs. A. Brown and family of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Klann and family and Miss Stella Brown of Chicago and Miss Katie and Arnold Jacobi of Owen.
A wedding dance and shower was held at the Silver Dome, Neillsville, in the evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sischo are making their home with the former’s parents, where Robert will assist his father with the farm work.
Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jacobi wll reside on the groom’s farm in the town of Weston.
