White, Arlene (7 FEB 1942)

On Saturday, February 7, Miss Arlene White Oakland , Cal., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert L. White of Loyal, became the bride of Howard Gorman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Gorman of Oakland.

The ceremony took place in the Congregational church of Oakland, with the Rev. J. B. Orr officiating. A piano solo, Oh, Promise Me," was played as the bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Allen J. Albright, of Fort Bragg, Cal.

The bride wore a street length dress of light blue, with dark blue accessories, and wore a white gardenia in her hair. She carried a bouquet of peach colored rose buds.

Miss Caroline Woodward of Oakland, a close friend of Miss White, was maid of honor. Miss Lillian Rawn, also of Oakland, another close friend, served as bridesmaid.

The groom’s attendants were George Tophane and Donald Bowles.

Immediately after the ceremony a reception was held at the A. Kramm home.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school. She is also a graduate of the Merrit Business college, Oakland, and for the past four years has been employed at the Kramm residence.

The groom is a graduate of the Glendale (Cal.) high school and Glendale Junior college. He is employed as lineman for the Pacific Gas Co. of Oakland.

Mr. and Mrs. Gorman will make their home at 3029 Foothill Blvd. Apt. 7, Oakland, California.
