Kauffman, Grace (Marriage - 8 Oct. 1944)

The Community Methodist Church in Arlington, Va., was the scene on Sunday evening, October 8, of the marriage of Miss Grace Kauffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kauffman, formerly of Neillsville, now residing in Madison, and Sgt. Harold R. Arnold of Ft. Monmouth, N. J., son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Arnold of Waymart, Pa.

The bride wore a long sleeved white satin gown, with a beaded sweetheart neckline. A Dutch cap held her finger tip veil, and she carried a bouquet of white gladioli and gardenias.

Mrs. Charles L. Kauffman, sister in law of the bride, was her matron of honor. Charles L. Kauffman, brother of the bride, who is stationed at Ft. Monmouth, Was the groom’s best man.

A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Austin, father and mother of the Mrs. Charles L. Kauffman.

The bride is a junior advertising specialist with the war finance division of the treasury department in Washington, D. C. she plans to continue this work while her husband is in service. She is a graduate of the Neillsville High School. Sgt. Arnold is a graduate of Pennsylvania State College. He will return to his duties as a science teacher at East McKeesport, Pa., after the war.
