Chili - by Mrs. Glen Snow

Mrs. William Gildernick and daughter, Susan, spent several days with her mother, Mrs. Kenneth Morrison at Watertown, also her brother, Alvin Steltenpohl, who was home on a furlough. She also visited her brother-in-law, Frances Gildernick and sister-in-law, Mrs. Lloyd Everett and family in Chicago. She returned home Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Phelps Spry and Donavan and Beverly attended the funeral last Thursday at Fairchild of the latter’s uncle, George Newman.

Miss Frances Verhagen, who spent six months in California and Oregon, returned here recently to visit her sister, Mrs. Alvard Selk, and brother Howard at Loyal. She went Monday to Wisconsin Rapids, where she expects to be employed.

Mrs. A. G. Coffin of Eleva was over the weekend guests of Glen Snow and Anton Hogenson families.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Montag were Sunday dinner guests of the latter’s brother, Clark Brooks at Lynn.

Niel Boushon, Mo. M. M. 1/c, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Boushon, who was in the Aleutians, is now stationed in San Diego, Cal.

Pfc. Lloyd Lipnow, who is stationed at Camp Robinson, Little Rock, Ark., was guest at the Charles Lindow home a few days last week. Mrs. Charles Lindow and daughter, Caroline, accompanied him to Ripon, where they will visit relatives and where the young man will visit his parents.
