Items of Long Ago Taken From the files of The Phonograph

Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1883

Gerard Kaudy is doing a rushing business in sign painting.

Last week was a busy one for the justices and lawyers, all of whom had cases to dispose of.

Fred Bredemeyer has bought and shipped five tons of ground pine to parties in Chicago, this fall.

All lovers of dancing will do well to attend the dance tomorrow evening. Messrs. Cole and Parkhill guarantee a good time to all those who attend, so take it and enjoy yourselves.

I. K. Cole is to teach the school in the Cumming’s district this winter and will administer Dr. Birch, in doses that will not fail to produce good results in the line of school work.

Put White and Billy Wilde are having their saloon ceiled and the ceiling raised about three feet. The improvements, when completed, will make their saloon the knobbiest in the place.
