Colby, William W. (17 JUL 1858 - 15 MAR 1944)
William W. Colby, 85, died at the home of his son, James Colby, in the city of Owen, Wednesday morning, following less than a weeks illness. His death was attributed to old age.
He was born July 17, 1858 at Chilton, Wis., and for a number of years made his home at Unity. He had been a resident of Owen only a short time.
Funeral services will take place Saturday afternoon from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) at 1:30 o’clock, the Rev. Fuergerson of Colby officiating, after which the body will be taken to Unity where it will be buried in the town of Brighton cemetery.
