Neff, Agnes #2 (1858? - 14 JUN 1902)

Last Saturday Mrs. Dorr Neff of Levis (Clark Co., Wis.) died from the effect of injuries received eight days before from a fall while alighting from a buggy, and was buried Monday. Her thigh was broken. She was thought to be improving rapidly, when death came. She was 44 years of age, the mother of four children, Alberta, Gladys, Lola and Charlie. She was born Agnes Carter in Jefferson Co., and married to D.A. Neff here in 1878. She leaves two brothers, Jas. And Ed Carter, of Washburn, also stepmother, a brother Dave at Osseo, and John Carter at Willow City, N.D., and sister, Mrs. L.M. Hedick.

The injury was not considered especially serious, and she was doing very well, with every prospect of speedy recovery, when death from heart failure occurred, June 14th, 1902.

The last sad rites were made beautiful by the presence of sympathizing friends, beautiful music and flowers. Mrs. C.C. Holliday of Minneapolis and many other relatives attended.

Of Decedent’s sweet domestic life and character, her devotion to her home, no praise can be too high. The husband and family have the deep sympathy of all.
