Pilsner, Jane T. (14 Jan. 1919 - 14 June 2008)

Jane Pilsner

Jane T. Pilsner, 89, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, died June 14, 2008, at her home.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter Manickam. Suzanne Golden will be the organist along with Sacred Heart Funeral Choir. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with her grandsons serving as the pallbearers.

Visitations will be from 9 a.m. until time of the services at the church Wednesday. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Jane was born Jan. 14, 1919, in Marshfield to Hugo and Agnes (Bauer) Berg. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School then later at Greenwood and Neillsville.

She was united in marriage to Gerhard "Gary" F. Pilsner on May 25, 1938, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He died Oct. 3, 2005. At the time of her marriage, she was working at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and was later a sales person at several businesses in Marshfield. Her husband and son, Ron, started the Pilsner Sausage Shop on East Fourth Street where she also worked.

Jane enjoyed spinning her own wool and spent time knitting, crocheting, needle point, leather tooling and some painting. She and her family spent much of their free time at the cottage on Lake Nakomis and during the winter months in Sarasota, Fla.

Jane was a member of Sacred Heart Church and its Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Jane is survived by a daughter: Carol Adler of Wausau; a son: Ronald (Dorothy) Pilsner of Marshfield; grandchildren: Steven Pilsner, James (Tammy) Pilsner, Daniel (Jodi) Pilsner and Michael (Kelly) Pilsner and two great grand children: Chloe and Alex Pilsner. She is further survived by a sister: Lillian (Harold) Wechorek of Marshfield.

Besides her parents and husband Gary, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gerald Adler; grandsons: Chad Pilsner and Marc Adler; three sisters and one brother.
