Mack, Leslie W. (18 APR 1868? - 10 MAR 1942)

Leslie W. Mack died in a hospital in Miles City, Mont., March 10, at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 21 days. His death was the result of a heart ailment.

He was born in the township of Loyal, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Mack. The Erastus and Daniel Mack families were the first white families to settle in the township of Loyal.

Mr. Mack will be well remembered by the older residents here because most of his boyhood and early married years were spent in Loyal and vicinity. The family moved to Montana several years ago. He and others of the family have returned here for occasional visits.

Mr. Mack was preceded in death by his wife in May , 1932, and his daughter, Dorothy, in July, 1926.

Surviving him are three sons, Venie of Jordan, Mont.; Rellie at Fort Collins, Colo., and Wallace at Miles City, Mont, and a sister, Mrs. Addie Corzett (the first white child born in the town of Loyal, of Rock Falls, Ill.

Mr. Mack was laid to rest in the Miles City cemetery.
