Murphy, Roy #3 (1886? - 12 JAN 1903)

Roy Murphy, aged 16 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Murphy, died at the home, the Merchants Hotel, on Monday, Jan. 12th, 1903, of bronchitis, after an illness of six days. Funeral services were ehld at the house at 10 a.m. Wednesday, by Rev. G. W. Campbell, and the remains were shipped to Patch Grove, Grant Co., Wis. for burial. Roy had always been a happy dispositioned boy, friendly with everyone, and although confined to a wheelchair all his life, never able to walk, owing to an affliction which prevented bone formation, he never let this bother him, but kept up an active interest in those about him, was fond of his friends and his animal pets, and the solicitous and loving care for him by the family was notably and tenderly pathetic. His birthplace was at Arapahoe, Neb.
