Saturday, May 16, 1903, is the day set for a land and lot sale at Columbia (Clark Co., Wis.). There is to be a program of speaking, singing, games, races, etc., reduced rates to and from on the railroads, and a public marriage, the bride to be given a lot at Columbia, groceries and hardware free, and other presents. Land and lots will be sold all day at private sale and public auction, and there has been as much interest stirred up over the event as if it were a Fourth of July celebration. Everybody is expected to take his dinner basket and go. If it rains the sale will be held in the new schoolhouse.
