Smith, Eunice E. (1 JAN 1947)

A wedding was solemnized on Jan. 1, 1947 at the York Center Methodist Church when Eunice E. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd H. Smith of Granton (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Arthur N. Anderson of Greenwood (Clark Co.). The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. L. H. Holmes of Loyal in the presence of relatives and friends.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister, Mrs. Chester Turville, Neillsville, was matron of honor, Miss Pauline Anderson, the groom’s sister, was bridesmaid; Ann Turville, a niece of the bride, was flower girl. Dale Turville, a nephew of the bride, carried the rings on a white satin pillow. Chester Turville, Neillsville, and Dale Thomas, Greenwood, attended the groom.

Following the ceremony, dinner was served to 50 guests at the Smith home.

The bride was graduated from Loyal High School with the class of 1946. The groom served with the marine corps for 26 months, serving 22 months overseas. He received his discharge August 14, 1946. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson are residing on a farm near Spencer since January 15.
