Funeral services for Charles August D. Reisner, 76, of the town of Lynn (Clark Co., Wis.), were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home, and at 2:30 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Granton. The Rev. William Lauterbach officiated. Burial took place in the church cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Georgas Funeral Home. Mr. Reisner died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1947, at the farm home near Lynn.
Mr. Reisner was born at Adell in Sheboygan Co., on Nov. 20, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Reisner. He had resided in Clark County since 1914. On Dec. 26, 1903, he was married to Emma B. Klietz in Sheboygan County. Her death occurred on Dec. 17, 1926. On Oct. 2, 1927, he was united in marriage with Mrs. Emma Gotter at Granton. He is survived by his wife, three children and three step-children. The children are: Laura, Mrs. Rudolph Sternitzky, and Oscar and Harold, all of Granton. The step-children are: Leona, Mrs. Raymond Sternitzky, and Lovella, Mrs. Melvin Garbisch, both of Granton, and Miss Viola Gotter of Neillsville. One stepdaughter, Leona, Mrs. Carl Bartsch, one sister and four brothers are deceased. One brother, William, resides at Chili.
Mr. Reisner was engaged in farming in Sheboygan county and after coming to Clark County. Nine years he retired, but continued to make his home in the town of Lynn.
Pallbearers were Otto Anding, Joseph and Edward Sternitzky, William Wagner, Art Grassman, and William Pannier. Flower ladies were Lorraine and LaVonne Sternitzky, and Diana and Darlene Gotter. A quartet sang two songs.
Out of town relatives who were here for the funeral were: Harland Bartsch, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Bartsch, Everett Bartsch, Mrs. Elsie Gotter and children, Elmer, Donna and Darlene, all of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. E. VanBuren and Alfred Reisner, Sheldon; Carl Bartsch, Marshfield.
