Schulz, Rosalina (6 JAN 1874 - 16 MAR 1947)

Mrs. Rosalina Schulz, 73, of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), route 4, died Sunday morning, March 16, 1947, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been a patient two weeks following a fall at her home, in which she suffered a broken hip. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:30 at the Georgas Funeral Home and at 2:00 o’clock at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christie, of which Mrs. Schulz was a member. Services will be conducted by the Rev. G. H. Heilman of Greenwood and burial will be in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Rosalina Falkman was born Jan. 6, 1874, in Shawano, where she grew to womanhood. On July 15, 1893, she was married at Oshkosh to Edward Diercks, who died Jan. 1, 1932. In 1904, Mr. and Mrs. Diercks moved to Clark County and engaged in farming. They resided for several years in the town of Levis and in 1918, purchased the farm in the town of York, where her son, Arthur Diercks, now lives and where she made her home. Her second marriage was to W. C. Schulz, who survives. They resided for a time in Neillsville.

Mrs. Schulz is survived by three sons, William and Arthur Diercks of the town of York, and Carl Diercks of the town of Pine Valley. Three daughters preceded her in death, Mrs. Tillie Haack, Mrs. Bertha Vandeberg and Lena, who died a the age of three. A sister, Maria, resides at Shawano, and a brother, Henry Falkman, lives at Horicon. Two half-brothers, Robert Zarling of Shawano and August Zarling of Horicon, also survive. There are 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers and a half-sister are deceased.
