O’Leary, Thomas (22 AUG 1876 - 2 APR 1947)

Funeral services for Thomas O’Leary, 70, of the town of Mentor (Clark Co., Wis.), were held Saturday, April 5, at the Methodist Church in Humbird. The Rev. Edward Sachtjen, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial took place in the Mentor Cemetery. Mr. O’Leary died at 3 a.m. on April 2, 1947, at the Krohn Clinic in Black River Falls.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Cole-Schiller Funeral Home.

He was the son of Thomas and Margaret O’Leary, and was born Aug. 22, 1876, in Monroe Co. He had been a resident of Clark County during the past 45 years.

His marriage to Clara Paulson took place on Dec. 25, 1901, at Humbird. Eight children were born to them, all of whom, with another, survive. They are: Michael Thomas, Neillsville; Nola Helen O’Leary, Two Rivers; Eugene Raya nd William Robert, Colby; Mrs. Nora May Wright, Marshfield; Mrs. Jennie Mae Digaetano, St. Paul, Minn.; Wilson Pershing, Willard; Mrs. Margaret Ellen Eibergen, Marshfield. A brother, Peter O’Leary of Humbird, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Saunders of Cataract and Mrs. Mary McDowell of Alberta, Canada, survive; also 15 grandchildren.

All of the children attended their father’s funeral, and Mrs. Saunders was here from Cataract.

Pallbearers were: Samuel Fitzmaurice, John Fitzmaurice, Arnold Matti, Fred Barr, James Campbell and Wesley Walker.

Thomas O'Leary was married to Clara Paulson on 24 Dec 1901 in a double wedding with his brother Peter O'Leary and Emma Putman.
