Schmitz, Mathilda (6 February 1871 - 22 November 1946)

Funeral services for Mrs. Mathilda Schmitz, 75, were conducted Monday afternoon from the Ludwig Faber home and the Zion Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Edgar Milleville officiated. Interment was made in the Lynn Cemetery. Mrs. Schmitz died Friday morning, November 22 (1946), at the Faber home.

Mrs. Schmitz, nee Kampine, was born in Germany February 6, 1871. She came to the United States with her parents when she was 12 years old. The family settled in the Town of Lynn and there she finished her education. Later she was married to Peter Schmitz, who preceded her in death in 1929.

Surviving are two sons, William, Loyal, and George, Granton; two daughters, Mrs. Ludwig Faber, Granton and Mrs. J. R. Jurgensen, Marshfield.
