Hefty, John M. Jr. (1889 - 17 November 1946)

John M. Heft, Jr., is interred in the Yolo Cemetery, having died November 17, (1946). He had resided for 32 years on a farm near Chili and previously had for three years run a butcher shop in Chili.

Mr. Hefty was born in 1889 in New Glarus, Green County. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hefty, Sr. The father died only 18 months ago, and the mother is still living.

Mr. Hefty was married in 1911 to Anna Faber. To this union four daughters were born. Of these Lenore died in infancy; Louise, Mrs. Ervin Stoneburg, resides in Marshfield; Mildred, Mrs. Reuben Wunrow, resides in Richfield; Irene resides at home. There are two granddaughters; also two brothers and sisters: Daniel of Madison; Joseph of Granton; Barbara, Mrs. Harry Cattanach of Nekoosa; Mary, Mrs. Arthur Hohenstein of Vesper.
