HEMLOCK Feb. 14

Mr. and Mrs. Bullard of Lloyd's farm attended the supper given in the hall last Saturday night.

Dr. Churchill was called up Monday morning to attend Tom Wilson's children, who showed symptoms of pneumonia.

Miss Georgia Anderson, having finished her education, returned home last Sunday.

Mrs. Peck visited with B. F. Ketchpaw's family last Saturday and Sunday.

C. W. Chandler and family shook the snow of Hemlock off their feet last Tuesday and left for a more congenial locality. Mr. Chandler intends visiting with his daughter a few weeks and then he is going to move his family to Michigan.

Quite a large number were brave enough to come through the snow last Saturday night to attend the supper given in the hall. The Big Store people did not come and now they can't slide down our cellar door anymore. And then there are others. One man in particular, whom we had always thought to be the soul of honor and a very monument of veracity. But "men were deceivers ever" and so we find to our sorrow. Now we don't love him as much as we did.
