The marriage of Miss Mildred Helen Todd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Todd, Granton, route 3 (Clark Co., Wis.), to lyle M. Cary, Granton, route 3, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Cary of Plainfield, was solemnized at the home of the bride on July 19, 1947, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Frederick H. Giles of the Bible Center Church of Marshfield performed the double ring ceremony which took place on the lawn. Decorations included a white fence and a blue and white arch with many kinds of cut flowers.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was gowned in white frosty faconne. It was a street length dress and she wore a corsage of red roses and matching flowers in her hair. She was attended by Mrs. Wayne Booth, her sister, as maid of honor, and Maxine Todd, also her sister, as bridesmaid. Wayne Booth, nephew of the groom, was best man.

Mrs. Giles played the wedding march and Mrs. James Todd, sister-in-law of the bride, sang "He Will Not Forget."

Fifty guests were entertained at a reception at the bride’s home at 4 p.m. The groom is employed in Marshfield, and they will live on Granton, route 3.

Guests from away included: Mr. and Mrs. Harris Spafford, Mrs. George Cary, mother of the Groom; Mrs. Dan Davis and Mary of Plainfield; Mr. and Mrs. Silas Booth and Russell and Silas, Jr., of Almond; Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes of Deer Park; Jess Cary, Babcock; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hauser, Arpin; Mr. and Mrs. James Todd and daughter, Lynn, Charles, Todd, Mr. and Mrs. Glendale Messing, Mrs. Eliza Messing and Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Todd, all of Marshfield.
