Dittman, Johanna G. (18 FEB 1857 - 12 AUG 1942)

Johanna Gerkie Dittman was born near Berlin, Germany, Feb. 18, 1857, and passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield on August 12th, after an illness of ten days. Cause of death was heart trouble.

The deceased was united in marriage to Christian Dittman on Dec. 24, 1882, at Waukesha, Wis. They moved to Loyal in 1928. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago. She was baptized and confirmed in Berlin, Germany, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran church here.

Funeral services were held from the Nichols Funeral Parlor on August 15th with interment in the Union Cemetery, the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating.

Pallbearers were R. F. Gotter, William Loppnow, Roy Vogel, John Bannach, George Cleveland and Grant Welsh.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Emma Stokes, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Gustave Bredlau, Fond du Lac, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The Tribune joins the friends of the deceased in extending sympathy.
