Stayton, Marjorie (Marriage - 16 November 1946)

Marjorie Stayton of the Loyal community was married Saturday, November 16, to Rex L. Pickett of the United States Navy. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stayton, who reside on a farm near Loyal. The groom is a machinist, first class, in the navy and is son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pickett, Spencer.

The wedding took place in Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, and was largely attended. It was followed by a wedding supper, served in the church parlors.

The young people spent their honeymoon in various parts of Wisconsin. At the end of Mr. Pickett’s 90-day leave they will go to Philadelphia, where Mr. Pickett will be stationed for the next two years.
