Dehne, Roland H. (8 Jan. 1909 - 14 Apr. 1956)

Roland H. Dehne passed away very suddenly of a coronary occlusion Saturday evening, April 14, 1956, at 6:30 P.M. at his home in Chicago, Ill., at the age of 47 years. Funeral services were held at the Matz Funeral Home in Chicago Tuesday morning at 10 A.M. and burial was made in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Dr. Grauer of St. Paul’s E. and R. church in Chicago was the officiating clergyman. Six mail men from the Chestnut St. Station were pall bearers.

Mr. Dehne was born in Newton, Wis., on Jan. 8, 1909. He attended Colby Graded School and two years in Colby High School. He graduated from Halgate High School in 1928. He was a mail carrier in the Chestnut St. Station of the Chicago post office for the past 16 years.

Surviving are his wife, Stella (Michalski); three children, Helen, Ruth and Roland John; his mother, Mrs. Rose Dehne of Oshkosh; his sister, Mrs. Harry Strade of Oshkosh.

Relatives from Milwaukee, Newton and Oshkosh, Wis., and Helgate, Ohio, attended the funeral besides a host of friends and relatives from the Chicago area.
