Killian, James Elmer (9 Oct. 1890 - 25 May 1935)

Conduct Funeral For Greenwood Resident

Greenwood--Funeral services were conducted at the local Methodist church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon for James Elmer Killian, who died at St. Joseph's hospital Saturday at 3 a.m.

The Rev. Glenn Shanks officiated at the rites. The body was taken Monday to Briggsville, Portage county where burial took place today.

Mr. Killian was born in Davis county, Indiana, on Oct. 9, 1890. He was married on Jan. 1, 1912 to Alice Hindes, who survives him. Surviving children are Irene, Gwendolyn and Elmer at home. A son, Hugh, died in infancy, and another son died in 1929.

He is also survived by his parents in Planville, Ind., and the following brothers and sisters: Wiley and Cecil, Indianapolis; Benjamin, Matoone, Ind.; Mrs. Irene Hill, Rochester, Ind.; Mrs. Mildred Couse, Vincennes, Ind.; Mrs. Effie Hayes and Mrs. Lula Christenson, Madison; and Mrs. Bessie Mead, Kankakee, Ill.
