Pflughoeft, Fred E. (29 April 1866 - 2 March 1948)

Funeral services for Fred E. Pflughoeft, 81, of Pine Valley, who died Tuesday following an extended illness, will be held Friday, at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home, and at 2 p.m. from the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church.

The services will be conducted by the Rev. N. J. Dechant, and burial will be made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

A resident of Clark County for the last 53 years, Mr. Pflughoeft was a charter member of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church here.

He was born April 29, 1866, in Germany, the son of Fred and Ernestine Froming Pflughoeft. He came to the United States with his parents when 16 years of age, and settled first in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1895, he came to Clark County, and resided on the farm in Pine Valley where he died.

On August 10 (1895) of the same year he was married to Ida Haack. To this union five children were born: Arthur of Neillsville; Elizabeth of Milwaukee; Leo, who lives on the home farm; and Mrs. Mark (Minnie) Vornholt, also of Neillsville.

A son George preceded him in death.
