Wolff, Barbara (12 March 1859 - 26 February 1948)
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Wolff, 88, of Neillsville, were held from the Cole Funeral Home Monday morning. The Requiem High Mass was read in a 9 o’clock service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Fr. John J. Pritzl, and burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Wolff died February 26, (1948), in an Eau Claire hospital, where she had been a patient since January 3. She was injured in a fall at her home on that day.
Mrs. Wolff was born, Barbara Tfang, daughter of Michael and Otelia Tang, on March 12, 1859, in Plymouth. She received her education in the Plymouth schools and was married there to John Wolff on January 11, 1882. They lived in Plymouth until 1887 when they moved to Neillsville. This has been her home ever since. For many years, Mr. Wolff was a stock buyer and conducted a butcher shop in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Wolff celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1932; Mr. Wolff died in 1936. A daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Tomz, died January 9, 1911.
Surviving are two children, three grandchildren and three brothers. The children are Jessie, Mrs. E. J. Roberts of Neillsville, and George Wolff of Chetek. The grandchildren are John Roberts of Rochester, Minn., Glenn Roberts of Neillsville, and Jane Wolff of Chetek. The surviving brothers are: Richard, Phillip and Charles Tfang all of Plymouth.
Two brothers, George and Lawrence Tfang, and three sisters, Mary, Elizabeth and Julia, are deceased.
Pallbearers were: George Zimmerman, Arthur Flynn, Adolph Unger, John Rude, George Prochazka and Willard Allen.
Those from away here for the services were: Mr. and Mrs. George Wolff and daughter, Jane; and Mr. and Mrs. John Roberts.

This listing concerns my paternal, great grandmother, Barbara Wolff. Her maiden name is incorrectly listed as "Tang" -- when in fact is was "Pfrang".
