Mrs. G.C. Andrews was on the sick list this week.

Dave Warner's store at Hemlock had a narrow escape from destruction by fire.

Frank Pfiefer caught cold in a hand, which he had severely cut, which compelled him to wear it in a sling.

The church attendance was noticeably very small when the skating was good on Black River.

A hunter in the woods near Abbotsford found the body of a man hanging from the limb of a tree on Monday. He was later identified as a Mr. Schultz, who had been missing from his home for some time. He had a handkerchief tied around his face when found.
