Buelow, *Jannette (18 NOV 1942)

A very quiet wedding took place at 9 o’clock Wednesday evening, Nov. 18, at the William Buelow home, when their oldest daughter, Janette of York was united in marriage to Everett Gehrt, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gehrt of Pine Valley. The Rev. Myron E. Taylor of Loyal performed the ceremony. The bride wire a street length dress of silk beige crepe and carried a bouquet of white carnations. She was attended by her cousin, Frances Kolbrae of Columbia, who wore a rose silk dress and carried pink carnations similar to the bride’s. The groom was attended by Clarence Braatz of Pine Valley. Both wore dark blue suits and carnations.

The room was decorated in white and pink streamers. After the ceremony, supper was served to immediate relatives of the bride and groom. A large wedding cake, with a bride and groom ornament, decorated the table. It was baked by Mrs. Herb Free, who also waited on table.

They left immediately for their home, which the groom has already prepared for his bride in Pine Valley. On Thursday evening a shower was given for them at the York town hall.

We wish these young people many years of happy married life.
