Smith, William (15 July 1866 - 6 April 1948)

Funeral services for William Smith, 81, were held April 10, from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. Lee H. Holmes officiated. Burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery. He died on Tuesday at the home of his son-in-law, William Dankemyer.

Mr. Smith was born in the Town of Union, Richland County on July 15, 1866 and received his early education in Blue City. He was married to Della Pizer in Viola on July 3, 1897. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William (Mildred) Dankemyer, Town of Fremont; Mrs. Sydney (Bernice) Worral, Rockford, Ill.; and Mrs. W. (Dulcie) Wanless, Maple Rapids, Mich. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Four sons and a daughter preceded him in death.
