Tornow, Wilhelmina (28 FEB 1821 - 25 JUL 1904)

Wilhelmina Tornow died at the home of her son, Gust Tornow, on Monday morning, July 25, 1904, shortly after midnight, of old age.

She was born in the province of Posen, Prussia, Germany, Feb. 28, 1821. Came to this country twenty years ago with the family, and settled at Chicago. Seven years ago she moved to the town of Sherwood (Clark Co., Wis.), with her two sons, Charles and Gust, and a daughter, Mrs. Teresa Lutter, and moved with them to this city last year. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Adelbert Labus, residing in Chicago. She had been blind for many years, an affliction which she bore with fortitude, always receiving the tenderest of care at the hands of her children.

The funeral was held yesterday.
