Stiemke, Mrs. Robert (Sophie) (30 December 1874 - 1948)

Funeral services for Mrs. Robert (Sophie) Stiemke, 74, will be held from the Georgas Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. William Lauterbach of Granton in charge. Burial will be made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

A long-time resident of Neillsville, Mrs. Stiemke died in Owen. She was born December 30, 1874, in Fond du Lac County, and received her early education there. She was married in Golden Lake on June 16, 1898, to Robert Stiemke, who survives.

The family came to Clark County about 30 years ago, and for more than a quarter of a century operated a farm on the River Road; later going to Sidney.

Surviving besides Mr. Stiemke are four sons and four daughters: Clarence of Tomah; John and Alfred of Milwaukee; Henry of the Town of Hewett; Mrs. Lydia Baer, Mrs. Hilda Olson, Mrs. Esther Scheiderer and Miss Sophia Stiemke, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
