Speich, Anna (1864 - 11 June 1948)

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Speich, 83, were held on Monday at Zion Reformed Church in Greenwood. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. She died on Friday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ludwig.

Mrs. Speich was born in Switzerland in 1864 and was married there to Abraham Speich. They came to the United States in 1885 and settled first in Monroe. In 1905 they came to Greenwood and have resided there since, first living on a farm and later moving into the city.

Surviving are seven sons, Jake, John and George, all of Greenwood, Abe of Ripon, Ed of Lima, O., Fred of Pittsville, and Harry of Mineral Point, and one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Rose) Ludwig of Greenwood.

Her husband died in 1931.
