Langford, Jane (1 MAY 1826 - 2 JAN 1905)

Mrs. Jane Langford died Monday morning, Jan. 2, 1905, at 6:15, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. B. Ring, of old age, aged 78 years, 8 months and 1 day.

The funeral services were at the house Wednesday forenoon, by Rev. G. W. Campbell, and the remains taken to Madison for burial.

Mother Langford was born at Dover, England, Ma 1, 1826, spending her younger days there and in London, after marrying the late Mr. Langford living at Jarrow, coming to New Hartford, N.Y., in 1866 and to Madison in 1872, where the home had been until, Mr. Langford having died in 1901, she decided to pass the remainder of her days with the daughters, Mrs. A. W. Burton and Mrs. Ring. In all respects she was a good and kind woman, devoted to her family, and until near the end keeping up a lively interest in the world’s doings.
