Miss Joyce VerHagen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward VerHagen of Granton, became the bride of Clarence Gilbertson, son of Mrs. Gertrude Gilbertson, also of Granton, at a double ring ceremony in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili, at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, (1948). Rev. F. Arthur J. Cramer officiated.

The bride was gowned in white satin with a finger tip veil and carried a bouquet of pastel roses, white carnations and white gladiolas. Her maid of honor was her sister, Miss Edna VerHagen, and another sister, Miss Elnor VerHagen, and Miss Edythia Schamacher, were bridesmaids. Alvin Kapusta was best man, and Donald Kapusta and Lester VerHagen were the other attendants of the groom.

A reception was held after the wedding at the home of the bride’s parents. The young couple plan to live in Marshfield, where Mr. Gilbertson is employed with a lumber company.
