Hansen, Mattie Karlotta (26 July 1907 - 27 August 2008)

Mattie Hansen, 101, of Neillsville died Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Mattie Karlotta Minsaas was born July 26, 1907, in Greenwood, the daughter of John Edward and Bolette (Martinson) Minsaas. She was united in marriage to William G. Hansen November 24, 1941.

She is survived by her children, Virginia (Wesley) Kuehn, Neillsville, Richard Hansen, Tomah, Carroll Hansen, Wausau, Harold Hansen, Spencer, Mildred (Ray) Kopinski, Osseo, Mickey Oestreich, Marshfield, Mavis Sage, Neillsville, Dennis Hansen, Marshfield, James Hansen, Spencer, and Marlene Heizen, Marshfield; daughter-in-law, Lily Hansen, Neillsville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Hansen; children, William H. Hansen and Ronald Hansen; daughters-in-law, Charlene Hansen and Dollie Hansen; son-in-law, George Heizen; brothers, Paul Minsaas, Malro Minsaas and Julius Minsaas; and sisters, Ida Tetzloff, Inga Nelson, Agnes Henchen, Sernia Olson, Laura Adams and Anna Schatzel.

A Graveside Service for Mattie was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday September 2, 2008, at the Neillsville City Cemetery.

The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Mattie’s family with funeral arrangements.
