John Riplinger got slapped across the jaw, Saturday night, in a manner that caused him to caress that valuable portion of his anatomy, the balance of the evening.

He was helping to shoot stumps with dynamite and a piece of a stump found him and done the slapping. The hurt was a bad one but not near so serious as it might have been had it struck him a square blow.
