Joseph P. Wenner, age 90 of 70 Hughes Street, Clintonville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday August 1, 2006 at his residence.

Joseph was born on January 1, 1916 in St. Paul, MN. He was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Notz) Wenner. Joseph grew up in Clark County, WI and was later united in marriage to Gladys Genskow on Sept. 29, 1951 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigerton. The married couple lived in Milwaukee until 1960 when they moved to Auburndale. In 1963 the couple moved to Clintonville where they lived on N. Main Street before moving to their current residence in 1969. Joseph was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville for many years. He was an iron worker by trade and was very proud to have worked on the construction of 2 of the 3 domes at Mitchell Park in Milwaukee and many area bridges including the Polish Connection in Menasha and the Tower Drive Bridge in Green Bay. He was a 50 plus year member of the Ironworkers Union Local #8 and was employed by Bolt Construction, Lunda Construction, and Appleton Erecting.
