Vetterkind, Rose Louise (Marriage - 28 August 1948)

Miss Rose Louise Vetterkind, Withee, became the bride of Benjamin Carl Mehlberg of Thorp, Saturday, August 28, (1948), at 2:30 p.m. in a single ring ceremony performed by Justice O.E. Parkinson of Owen. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vetterkind of R. 1 Withee, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Anna Mehlberg of Shawano.

The bride was attired in a gray street length dress. The couple was attended by Miss Lois A. Mengel, maid of honor, and by Arthur Doege, bestman.

The home of the bride’s parents, decorated in pink and white streamers, was the scene of a wedding supper at which 26 guests were present. After the supper music was provided for dancing by Rudolph Mengel and Arnold Anger.

Mr. and Mrs. Mehlberg will honeymoon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The groom is the manager of cattle sales at Mattes Livestock Market at Thorp.
