Kirchhoefer, Lylla (? - 25 July 1956)

Lylla Kirchhoefer, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Alvin Kirchhoefer, former pastor of Zion Lutheran church here, passed away in a Chicago hospital Wednesday, July 25th. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Redeemer Lutheran church, Park Ridge, Ill., and burial took place at Stella, Nebraska.

She was employed a number of years by the Employers Mutual Insurance Co. of Wausau, working in the Chicago, Ill., and San Diego, Calif., offices. She married Andrew Jackson Helmich of Chicago and they resided in Park Ridge, Ill. She is a graduate of Colby High School.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Linda, her parents, Rev. and Mrs. A. Kirchhoefer of Wisconsin Rapids, her sister, Esther, and a brother, Martin.

Arthur Imig Is Honoree At 80th Birthday Dinner

 

Arthur Imig, well-known Sheboygan business man, was guest of honor at a large family gathering Sunday at his summer home at Elkhart Lake, the occasion being his 80th birthday w hich occurs today. The celebration was given by his sons and daughter-in-law, Carl H. Imig and Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Imig. A 2 o'clock dinner was served for the guests at long tables arranged on the specious porch. Bouquets of yellow and white flowers with greens graced the tables and a birthday cake in the same color scheme was placed at the head table before the birthday celebrant. Bouquets of gladioli and blossoming plants were also abundant throughout the home. Robert Imig was toastmaster for the informal program enjoyed during the dinner. Appropriate parodies were sung by the gathering and a special birthday song was presented by a group of young people made up of Mr. Imig's three grandchildren, Arthur, Carol and Robert Imig, as well as sons and daughters of nieces and nephews. Mrs. William Thiele of Milwaukee provided piano accompaniments for the singing. Besides Mrs. Thiele, out-of town guests at the gathering included: Mrs. Joseph Silvers, Mrs. Jean Marquardt and son. Chips, Andrew J. Helmick and daughter. Miss Linda, Paik Ridge, Illinois , Carl Metzger and Harold Brophy, Chicago, and Mrs. Robert Hayssen, Mrs. Cul Hayssen, Mrs. Charles Kelly, Miss Amanda Hentschel, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hase and Mrs. Martin Selle, all of Milwaukee.
