A Happy New Year to all.

Mr. Arlo Davis of Loyal and Miss Jennie Freen of York were married last Wednesday at Neillsville. The county judge performed the ceremony.

Miss Ethel Smith returned home Saturday from Barron County.

Miss Ella Learned of Fox Lake is spending the holidays here and at Neillsville.

John Parrett shipped a carload of hay to Chicago the past week.

Chas. Campbell returned home Friday from Beaver Dam where he has been at work.

Word from Texas reached us last week that Laura, wife of S.D. Gibson, was dead. She was a former resident of York.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rowe and children of Marshfield spent Christmas here with Mrs. Rowe's parents.

The various school are now having holiday vacation.

Jerry Davis and family of Neillsville ate Christmas dinner at York Center.
