Bauer, Lorena (20 MAY 1939)

Miss Lorena Bauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bauer, and Randall Sterzinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sterzinger of Colby were united in marriage on Saturday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. The Rev. C. D. Brady celebrated the nuptial high mass at 8:30 o’clock..

The bridal procession was led by a miniature bridal couple. Little Miss Betty Freuh, niece of the bride, wore a white satin lace yoked gown which reached to the floor. She wore a tulle veil caught with a wreath of flowers. Galen Sterzinger, nephew of the groom, wore a dress suit of white satin trousers and black coat with tails.

They were followed by Miss Hildah Bauer, sister of the bride, in a floor length taffeta with matching fingertip veil. And headdress, and Gorman Sterzinger, brother of the groom.

Miss Loretta Bauer, as maid of honor, attended her sister in a peach color taffeta with matching fingertip veil. Maurice Sterzinger acted as best man for his brother.

The bride wore a white satin gown with lace yoke. Her long veil was of white tulle. She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations’ and snapdragons.

About one hundred guests were entertained at dinner at the farm home of the bride’s parents. Streamers of aqua, peach and white and fresh flowers were used in the house decorations. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Wiedenhoeft’s Park.

Mrs. Sterzinger is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School. Mr. Sterzinger operates a farm near Colby where the young couple are making their home.
