Laabs, Dorine (Marriage - 1948)

St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Colby was the recent scene of the wedding of Miss Dorine Laabs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Laabs of Owen, and Donald Poppe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Poppe of Withee.

The bridal party included Mrs. Roland Knecht, as maid of honor, Miss Opal Poppe and Mrs. Frederick Lulloff, bridesmaids, Karen Lea Laabs and Versla Poppe, junior bridesmaids, Roland Knecht, Frank Klinke and Frederick Lulloff, the groom’s attendants.

Supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony.

The groom is a graduate of the Withee High School and a war veteran. The bride has employment in Withee. The couple is making their home near Withee.
